GReeeeN denies breakup rumors

Rumors of the band GReeeeN breaking up were laid to rest on Thursday. One member, HIDE (29), wrote an angry post on his blog in response to false newspaper reports that the group was disbanding after the release of their best album later this month.

The four members of GReeeeN made their major label debut in 2007 while they were dentistry students, and since then three of them have passed the national dentistry exam. According to the false news reports, the group was breaking up so that the members could focus on their careers as dentists.

On his blog, HIDE angrily denounced the media, while reassuring fans that the group is not breaking up. The post was later replaced by an official statement from the group's record label.

HIDE's post also seemed to indicate that the members' faces may remain unseen by the public forever. The mysterious group originally planned to reveal their faces after all four members passed the national exam, but now that some of them are actual dentists, they don't want their success as musicians to interfere with their work.

HIDE was so pissed he gave nikkan sports the middle finger..LOL

im just glad that the members greatly values their chosen profession other than making wonderful music..

You never know, they may change their minds later on and show their faces... But for now, it looks like they prefer staying hidden :/

That middle-finger was epic!

But I understand the need to take it off, now matter how mad you are, that gesture is also quite rude to the media. But at least with them not showing their faces and not relying on their looks alone, they have managed to side-stepped on the full reliance of the media.

I believe that this is one of their agency's promotion/ or maybe the media tricks for Greeeen's upcoming Best Album release this Nov.

Actually they don't need it coz they're already freakin popular and Everybody in Japan wants to have their Best Album. for publicity only,.i guess sheeew...

Nope, it's not that. It was Nikkan Sports that published the break-up and they're not reliable at all. It's just one of those stupid rumours.

And they don't need promotion at all. Look at all what they've sold so far without appearing on TV nor doing tours. They definitely don't need any kind of promotion, this best is gonna sell like hotcakes by itself.

Exactly what im trying to say. They don't need their faces to sell bec. they already did Big before they'll do it. One more thing that suprised me..Did Hide really done that **** finger thingy there *^ If he is, Im very much dissapointed since he's a DMD afterall.

Nikkan Sports LOVES break-up rumours. Group X is disbanding, Couple A&B is divorcing, so to speak. GReeeeN doesnt show their real identities to the public so disbanding rumour is the only thing Nikkan can publish about the band because they couldnt make up juicy gossip on their love lives.
