Charts: Johnny's all around

Johnny's Jimusho proved dominant on the music charts this week, earning 1st on the album, single, and DVD rankings.

KAT-TUN's 4th album, "Break the Records -by you & for you-," sold 200,000 copies to lead the albums chart, continuing the streak from their first three. Elephant Kashimashi charted at #3 with their newest release. Also making the top ten were a request album for guitarist hide (#7) and the latest effort from Tommy heavenly6 (#9).

Similarly, NEWS extended their own streak, sending their 11th consecutive single to the top of the charts. "Koi no ABO" sold 234,000 copies, far ahead of SID's new single, which ranked 2nd at 59,000 in sales. They were followed by new songs from JUJU (#3) and Shoko Nakagawa (#4). Idol groups Buono! (#7) and Idoling!!! (#10) also broke the top ten.

Meanwhile, Hey! Say! JUMP's tour DVD claimed #1 in the overall DVD rankings, moving 77,000 copies. With an average age of 16.8 years old, they qualify as the youngest male artists to top the overall DVD chart.

they probably milked too much money out of the fans from the DOMUCON tickets..so it's kinda expected..plus the fact that there are 2 other talents from Johnny's that are also having a release on the same date..
are the figures bad compared to the previous albums??

Yup! definitely, and it's slowing down yearly

yup! they are...they are still selling compared to the other JE but i expect bigger, it's not that i'm comparing their prev. album but remember how they break history from the start right?..i'm just curious coz i'm not that active in JE fandom now as before coz school attacked my fangirling break too> the only JE that mostly i'm into still is Arashi and Kanjan8. Do you have any new info. about the 2?

they say that the sales reflect one's popularity..so that's my answer for now..it's up to you as on how you'd perceive that..

as for Arashi and Kanjani8..
Arashi's latest releases, single and music DVD are selling damn well..Believe/KnK current sales already at 630,000, closely catching up with Truth/KnMe which is 650,000..AAA2008 in Tokyo DVD already reached 300,000 mark..
Kanjani8's latest album, PUZZLE sold 230,000 copies respectively

Yeah, KAT-TUN sales are dropping...

Well they have been releasing things every month since December, still all of them have reached #1. Maybe that's another reason for the drop of sales?

And there are also the DOMUCON concerts as someone else pointed already. ^_^U

Still, I hope their sales get a little better.

what i find pathetic is that why some fans are so depressed over their latest sales..just because they started out "perfect", that's why they've been stereotyped to be always number 1 and have freaking high sales..duh..be realistic for once..i guess that's the price for being "excellent".. pride and ignorance..
they should be grateful to Johnny that their beloved KAT-TUN is given such opportunity to have consecutive releases unlike the other groups..
i actually really sense some favoritism to them which is totally not my cup of tea.. (>_<)
it would have been better if they started out from scratch then climbing up..
consider looking at the other groups..i won't be citing some names, for it might turn out to another fandom war.period.

And I believe that too..that Sales reflect on Popularity but if you are a real fangirl that really love your idol no matter what!> Sales are not important right!, it's just we don't love them bec. of their statistics, it's like it's more than that but sales are one way to show our love & support to them.
