Drama Grand Prix: "Kami no Shizuku" wins winter

In preparation for its annual Drama Grand Prix, Nikkan Sports already conducted voting for the 2009 winter season earlier this month. A total of 13,613 votes were collected. The big winner this time was NTV's "Kami no Shizuku," which starred KAT-TUN member Kazuya Kamenashi. The show picked up all four categories it was eligible for, leaving Miho Kanno to win for Best Actress.

this is ridiculous...if KnS was such a good drama then why didn't anybody care to watch it??

Unfortunately, good dramas don't necessarily get good ratings.

I'm not saying at all that KnS was good - I didn't even watch the first episode! But you can't judge shows just based on the TV ratings (and yeah, I know KnS's ratings were really bad). Ashita no Kita Yoshio and Shikaotoko Aoniyoshi were two of the best dramas I watched last year, and those had pretty awful ratings.

I watched Kami no Shizuku and it is a joke. I seriously thought I was watching a comedy but the damned drama was taking itself seriously.

Then again, didn't Yuukan Club win this "award" for the 2008 Winter Season last year?

Obviously its just a bunch of fangirls voting and not real professionals that can tell what a "good" drama is verses a crap one.

Not even Naoto can save the fail of Kami no Shizuku.

im just curious, which of those top 5 dramas that you thought should be deserving of the title??..

can't say much except that Nikkan Sports is merely popularity voting..id just wait for the much better awards, one with the critics side of judging..

How come Kamenashi Kazuya beats Matsuyama Ken'ichi??!!
Ok, if it is about fangirls, how about Voice, Uta ni onii-san & Rescue which also have JE Idol? Or Mei-chan no Shitsuji, that has a lot of ikemen although none of them are from JE.

Kame's drama had almost the lowest rating which means it wasn't so popular but it wins a popularity poll? Its definitely fixed. Uta no Onisan was a nice drama, Triangle was a good one as well. If you haven't noticed, Kame has always gotten more chances than any other Johnny's ... he wasn't that popular when he had the starring role w/Yamashita. I think he gets way too much favoritism.... also the best male supporting role is also from Kame's drama... he was awful. I saw the entire drama and it was boring from the start...there wan't much of a story to it. He's probably sleeping with Mary since he is sooooo ! into older women.

It's a popularity contest.

It's not whether the storyline is good or not, it's how much fans that person in drama has ~

So yeah ~ KnS would win cause Kame's got a HECKALOTA fans.
