Director Takashi Miike and Arashi member Sho Sakurai are scheduled to attend the world premiere of the live-action "Yatterman" movie, taking place at the New York Comic Con on February 6. Both will be present for a panel at 4:00pm, which will be followed by the movie's screening.
The movie, which stars Sakurai, Saki Fukuda, and Kyoko Fukada, opens in Japanese theaters on March 7. Link to article |

Twitch had a post about this as well, but Marc from NYAFF said that the information is incorrect, and that there should be some kind of announcement in the next few days. Twitch has since taken down the post, apparently.
I guess we'll have to wait and see. |

Hi, there. Sorry about the confusion. Somehow the news was posted on the Comic Con site a bit early.
The official press release went out today, and it's generally what was said before: Takashi Miike and Sho Sakurai will both appear as guests of the NY Comic Con on Friday, February 6th. They will do a panel on YATTERMAN at 4:00 pm. There will be two screenings of the film in New York that weekend. The first is at 8:00 pm on Friday night at the Directors Guild Theatre on 57th Street. A limited number of tickets will be available for this screening at the Nikkatsu / YATTERMAN booth at Comic Con. Then on Saturday night, 2/7, there will be an encore screening in the IGN Theatre at the Comic Con, open to all Comic Con attendees. |

http://www.boxofficemojo.com/intl/japan/ http://www.boxofficemojo.com/intl/ja...9&wk=13&p=.htm I hope somebody will post about this. Hopefully the English speaking fandom will be able to get to see Yatterman in their respective countries too. |

I haven't done box office reports for a while, but Anime News Network has at least covered it: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news...ce-march-22-23
