Shotgun wedding for Leah Dizon

American-born idol Leah Dizon (22) is now a married woman. Dizon finished her first tour with a show in Shibuya on Tuesday, and just before her last song, she shocked all of her fans by announcing that she got married last Friday.

Dizon's husband is reportedly a Japanese stylist that she met through work. They met about a year ago when he was involved in a shoot for one of Dizon's CD jackets. They became friends after Dizon began consulting with him about work, and it developed into a relationship. The man is said to be older than the idol, but still in his twenties.

The couple recently discovered that Dizon is pregnant, and they decided to get married. A press conference with more details is being held on Wednesday.

I feel bad for the guy that she is married to. She better hope he speaks good English, or there will be a breakdown of communication.

Also, I don't think she will make a good mother.

I'm not a big Leah Dizon fan, but congratulations to her anyway (though it also really surprised me

there's been so many of these celebrity shotgun marriages lately XD).

Though she said she'll come back, I don't really know what she'd do. She was mostly famous for gravure and I doubt she could continue that after the marriage/kid. Aside from that, though she has a singing career, her singing is doinky (and the singing career only served as a means of promotion for her gravure career anyway)...so I don't really know. Maybe if she comes back she'll become a generic variety show tarento?

But then she'd have to improve her Japanese a lot more...

I think it's more likely that she'll retire and/or move back to America.

Exactly! only because she acts the way she is in Japan doesn't mean she will be as bad as britney spears. (LEAVE BRITNEY ALONE!!! - Sarcasm)

though it does come as a shock i do like her songs.

Hmm... Now, the pregnancy itself is great news. Congrats to her on that.

As for the rest... Well.. I think she's done for. I mean, she never really had much to show off anyway. Her photobooks, ok... showing some skin to sell them, and that was that. That made her... the 500 millionth chick going down that line. Very impressive... not. Her singing... Uhmm... let's not go there. I rather take MoMus than her.

Shotgun marriage, well, not a surprise, really. It'll cost her a lot of popularity. Remember, Hirosue Ryoko pulled the same and it took her a while to get back on her feet (and I don't think her career has really recuperated from it yet). Now, Hirosue back then was somewhat on top of the food chain. Dizon is somewhere in the middle, at best. She's done for. She wants to come back? As what? Singer? Please... don't. Actress maybe? Argh... *runs in circles!* Most likely as some tarento on one of those brainless shows. I'm with the doinkies on that one.

Not really a big loss though. Then again, she's so not the type of woman I like. Give me a Shibasaki or Kuriyama or any of the Maeda Sisters over some airhead like Dizon any day.
