37-year-old comedian Hiroaki Ogi (of the duo Ogiyahagi) is becoming a father in a few months. His wife, 36-year-old Naho Moriyama, is scheduled to give birth to their first child around January.
Ogi and Moriyama married in 2006 after a five-year relationship. Moriyama is known for being the daughter of singer Ryoko Moriyama and the older sister of musician Naotaro Moriyama, whom she currently works for as manager. Naho, a musician herself, was once part of the ukulele duo Petty Booka before her marriage. Link to article |

For those keeping score, I would like to make a correction to a previous article:
I made a mistake in my "Discovering Bands Through SXSW" piece back in February when I wrote up the description of Petty Booka. At the time, the only information I could find on the group was outdated, as Naho Moriyama was part of the second generation of Petty Booka from 1999 up until her marriage. It looks like the group was mostly inactive between 2005 and 2008, when the members were officially changed to Mika Hashimoto and Mafuyu Matsuo (known as THE DUET, part of the larger group SKi-Family). Though this past July, Saori Kida replaced Mafuyu Matsuo in THE DUET, and as a result also replaced her as the new Booka. I don't think anyone here actually cares for the trivia, but I just felt I should set the record straight. |
