Default April 9 2008-B'z "Burn - Immortal Face" Single

B'z *20 years* "Burn - Immortal Face"

B'z gives us their first single of 2008, "Burn - Immortal Face." A powerful tune with an emotional sound and aggressive vocals!

In rock, one of the keys making a great song, and the one thing that can really make a song is a good guitar riff. As the song's title indicates, Takahiro Matsumoto gives us a riff fires the crowd up and lends itself well to the energy of this song with it's powerful sound and impact.

The backing guitar also has enough depth to create the exciting feeling of a fierce competition between it and Koushi Inaba's voice. Then comes the moment of instrumental silence when the "immortal face" chorus begins. All the phases here are the kind that stick with you long after. The "fire power" of the guitar solo also leaves a strong impression. From begin to end, the track continues to push its high energy sound.

Also, the message of making every moment is life count is quite touching. Change with the times and leave a brilliant memory and impression on everyone you meet. By that feeling alone ones sure to live a regretless life. It's a song on how to live life without being embarrassed about yourself, and you can sing it out load. All of that is conveyed through Inaba's amazing voice.

The persuasive power and simplicity of the song is just tremendous. If you concentrate on listening to the sounds you realize how direct they are, and if you listen to the words, they will take you away to Inaba's vision. Even after 20 years, B'z as rock royalty, will use this track to move you in a really fresh and new way.

You may have already heard the this long awaited single as it has been playing on the commercial for KOSE's Esprique precious brand since March 1st.

The second song, "Yokohama," is a blues based track. The expanding sound of the acoustic guitar is while heavy in sound, reflects the scene of not being able to cut yourself off from the emotions tied to the person you can't be with.

The third track, "Song of hope," is a straight out fast-paced rock song. To the pop melody, the lyrics tell us to embrace the small discoveries in everyday life and hold onto hope. The light sound meshes well with the idea of cherishing casual everyday life.

B'z are now on a nationwide tour. Even after 20 years, the explosive live shows in combination with "Burn - Immortal Face" have reenergized and pushed B'z even further to rock legend.
