Ai Kago's first interview since leaving H!P, admits to cutting wrists

News has spread of a recent interview with former Morning Musume member Ai Kago. This is her first interview since she was dismissed by Up-Front Agency last March after she was caught twice for underage smoking and was discovered to be in a relationship with an older man.

Hello!Online has translated part of the interview, in which Kago apologized and explained some of the circumstances around her scandal.

According to Sankei Sports and Sports Nippon, Kago also revealed that right after her dismissal, she attempted to cut her wrists, though full details of the incident have not yet been made clear.

Kago is aiming to return to show business, and is said to be publishing a book soon. More information from her interview will likely be publicized this week.

For those interested, Aibon's new "Biscuit Club" site has officially opened on Yahoo! Fan Club (link). It's basically a blog, but it also has Photo and Video sections that are open only to fanclub members.

Aibon also announced earlier this week that she wants to return to show biz as an actress... we'll see how that turns out.
