Post Sawajiri back in Japan

Actress Erika Sawajiri returned to Japan on Saturday after nearly three months in London with her boyfriend, media creator Tsuyoshi Takashiro.

While in London, Sawajiri was attending a language school. Her familiarity with English became evident at the airport when several cosmetics items fell out of her bag, and she exclaimed, "Oh shit!" She continued to mostly use English while at the airport, and she reportedly has become fluent enough to handle ordinary conversation.

Sawajiri stated that she will be in Japan during her birthday, April 8, though she plans to return to London some time after that. It has also been reported by other news sources that she will begin filming for a commercial next month.

Curse words do not equal fluency.

Of course it doesn't. But when someone instinctively curses in a language other than their native one, it usually suggests that they have a decent grasp of that language.

Besides, she definitely knows a lot more than just curse words.

I've cursed in French, and I speak like... 5 words of it. But I can say "merde" and I use it, because that was one of the first words I looked up in my dictionary back in the days. But that doesn't make me fluent, not even remotely fluent.

Maeda Sisters, they speak real English. Suzuki Anne as well (who's currently in NY).

3 months in London, plus language school (once per week?), hardly impressive result. 'Sides, it's Sawajiri, just wait, she'll be pregnant soon, then comes a shotgun marriage, then she'll be gone, hopefully.

And, let's face it, "Oh shit" is probably one of the most famous expressions in English, even my mother knows it (and she speaks zero English).

I didn't miss her, she can return to London any day. Lousy actress with a "movie queen" complex.
