Finalists for 2008 R-1 Grand Prix revealed

The finalists for the sixth R-1 Grand Prix 2008 were announced on Tuesday. Last year's winner, Takeshi Nadagi (The Plan 9), is aiming for his second consecutive victory. He will be competing against Ponta Dohi, Kota Nakayama, Yoshi Yamada (COWCOW), Koji Abe, Kazumasa Kora, Atsumu Watanabe, and Miyuki Torii.

The field this year was the largest ever with 2,731 contestants. The final round is being held on the 17th.
