Post Fuji TV announcer Yukino Kikuma resigning

Fuji TV announcer Yukino Kikuma is planning to leave the network at the end of this month, it was learned on Thursday. According to several sources, she intends to devote herself to studying law.

Kikuma has been with Fuji TV since 1995 and has received media attention for a couple of incidents. In 1998, while she was reporting on a live broadcast of "Mezamashi TV," she fell from the fifth story of a building, but fortunately suffered only a waist injury due to some safety precautions that had been taken.

In 2005, Kikuma was involved in the underage drinking of former NEWS member Hiroki Uchi, and was subsequently suspended for a few months.

For the past two years, Kikuma has been attending law school while working as an announcer. Now, she has apparently decided to focus on studying with the aim of passing the bar exam. Fuji TV reportedly tried to dissuade her from resigning, but she had already made up her mind.
