Music group AAA has issued a formal apology for a recent incident involving graffiti.
In mid-July, the group visited an area known as High Rock near Baltimore, Maryland, to take pictures for a CD jacket. Members used spray paint to write phrases such as "JPN AAA 2007" on surrounding rocks. After returning to Japan and posting a picture on their blog, they received many complaints and criticisms through their website. They have formally apologized to local authorities in Maryland, and are apparently discussing how to make amends. Link to article |

According to the official apology posted on the Avex site, the group apparently consulted an area coordinator, who at the time said the spray paint would be okay. It was only after they had returned to Japan and a second consultation was made (presumably after they received the complaints) that the graffiti was determined to be a problem.

I am Japanese but I think Japanese people are overreacting too much. It's just an innocent little graffiti, isn't it? They criticize the issue repeatedly, saying AAA is a shame of Japan or so.

This is probably the most ricidulous thing I have ever heard, and I don't care what anyone else is going to say about me, this is so unbelievably ridiculous I think b/c of something so trivial AAA is recieving so much heat for this, what about the thugs/criminals who are spray painting after they smoked a line of crack? How come they aren't getting any heat for this? How come there aren't newspaper headlines about them? Just because AAA is famous they get the heat! I think the Japanese government, the maryland government whoever is reponsible for starting all this fuss should just stop it before it blows anymore out of proportion than it already is. It's a rock seriously get over it - remove the rock sell it on EBAY you could probably get alot of money. Trust me if anything happens to this group it will not go over lightly there will ALOT of angry fans, and I mean ALOT.

How does it make you feel to know how they feel after this. TO make another person feel the way AAA felt is horrible. |

lol. It's America...don't they understand that it's on pretty much EVERYTHING...I mean they weren't far from the city either. Seriously...back off people. AAA using spray paint on a rock is nothing to make a fuss about.
