Nozomi Tsuji pregnant and engaged!

Former Morning Musume member Nozomi Tsuji is reportedly getting married to actor Taiyo Sugiura, and is currently two months pregnant. The two started dating last year.

Tsuji just recently formed the new unit Gyaruru with Ami Tokito and Galsone. She was also scheduled to perform in the play "Itsunohika Kimi Kaeru" this month, but backed out because of sickness. It was reported that she had gastroenteritis, but it may have been a cover for her actual condition.

Tsunku and UFA have confirmed the report. Tsuji is also apparently putting her career on hold, which means that the status of Gyaruru is up in the air.

A press conference is being held on the 10th.

According to Sanspo and several other sources:

-They plan to register the marriage on June 17, Tsuji's 20th birthday.

-In the winter of 2006, Mari Yaguchi starred in the TBS daytime drama "Sentou no Musume," whose cast included Takao Sugiura, Taiyo's younger brother. In April, Tsuji met Taiyo through Yaguchi, and the two began dating after that.

-In late April, Tsuji was diagnosed with acute gastroenteritis, but upon re-examination in May, she was found to be in her 9th week of pregnancy.

-She will be replaced as a voice actress on the anime series "Robby & Kerobby." She has also been pulled out of Gyaruru. However, it appears that she will not be retiring.

- Sugiura proposed on his birthday, March 10. His words were (as translated): "I love to see you smiling, so let me see that smile for the rest of my life. Would you stay with me forever?"
- They said they met through a non-celebrity friend. Earlier reports had said they met through Mari Yaguchi.

According to Sponichi, Hello! Project is *not* ending Tsuji's contract. This means that they are planning for her to return to work after her child is born, which will make her the first "mama idol" in H!P.
