Oricon: Light and refreshing. Your new work provoked quite an unexpected feeling.

Kamiki: The release date was set for March, but I thought it would be nice to release an acoustic song because its sound is so relaxing to listen to. Since it is the first part in 2008, I was already thinking about making something new and unexpected. Though, to be honest, the song “Just take my heart” from Coupling felt more like me. It was a hard number with high notes. I really don’t want to be stuck with a single image. I want people to listen to me sing a variety of songs so that is why I decided to make an album with an image of morning freshness. Despite that, the lyrics talk about not being able to do what you want on a boring Sunday. (Lol)

Oricon: When you think of a spring song, sakura, graduation, and things like that often comes to mind, but this song is nothing like that. Instead, your song smells and feels more like the colors of spring. The scenery within my heart looks like a hazy yet clear day in spring after listening to the song.

Kamiki: Thank you very much. Rather than explicitly using words that relate to spring, I thought it would be better to allude to those words. I didn’t think about making a song that would sell in the spring. By staying true to myself, I wanted to express something like the sprinkling of love.

(title)

Oricon: I noticed that your vocals have changed a little bit too. You can hear the tone very clearly now.

Kamiki: Yeah. Actually, I’ve shortened the amount of vibrato. I was told that if I did that, the meaning of the lyrics and the song would be heard more easily. So it’s not like I’m just reading the lyrics when I sing. More like I’m more mindful of singing clearly. On the other hand, Coupling has a heavy impact now.

Oricon: I agree. You can see the style in the live performance pictures. It’s very cool.

Kamiki: I guess so. I absolutely have to sing… is what I’m thinking during the live performances.
