For all of you with myspace, friendster, livejournal, facebook, etc.
Japan has a blogging community that is head and shoulders above all. Mixi This blogging community can only be accessed by invitation only, so you need to know someone with an account in order to access the site. It's pretty simple and there are a lot less customizations that can be done compared to the American blog communities. An advantage to this however is that there are less bugs/errors/maintenance problems. Loading is also very quick. A key feature to mixi is the groups and communities formed. Once signed in, you can join a variety of special interests communities, and there is one for everybody. If you can't find one for something you are looking for, just create one yourself. So, if anyone out there has a mixi account, let me know and we can be friends. If you don't have a mixi account and you want an invite, just message me and I'll invite you. You'll need to be able to read Japanese characters and fonts by the way. |
