A press conference was held on Monday for actor Goro Kishitani's first directed movie "Killer Virgin Road," at a wedding spot in Tokyo. Actress Juri Ueno (23), Yoshino Kimura (33), and Kishitani attended, and a bouquet toss was performed with 50 brides. Ueno, who appeared in a wedding dress, spoke of her girlish feelings. "I want to get married once in my life. But if I decide an age to get married at, and I can't get married then, I'll be contradicting myself. So I'll just say by around the age of 80."

"Killer Virgin Road" tells the story of Hiroko Numajiri (Ueno) - who accidentally kills her apartment landlord the day before her wedding, but attempts to hide the body so that she can still go through with the wedding ("the woman who wants to marry") - and Fukuko Kobayashi (Kimura) - a beauty who has no luck with men, who unsuccessfully plots her suicide every time she is rejected ("the woman who wants to die"). Together, they find themselves being chased by a biker gang, the mafia, and the police as they try to hide the corpse, at least until the time comes for Hiroko to show up at her wedding ceremony. In addition to directing, Kishitani wrote the script.

Kimura said, "Ever since the movie 'Joze to Tora to Sakanatachi,' Ueno-san has caught my attention, so I'm happy to be able to act with her. Her acting is by far beyond my imagination, so I'm very excited. I respect her." She recounted an episode, "In the scene where we're being chased by 15 members of a biker gang, I was frightened, but Juri-chan was saying 'Yay' and having fun."

Kishitani commented, "Directing is like receiving a treasure box. Acting is tough and painful, but directing is exhilarating." He expressed his desire to do another film, saying, "Next time, whether the theme is anger or pain, I want to do a cut where it's rainy and like a French film."

"Killer Virgin Road" will open in Toho theaters across the country on September 12.
